January 21st writing check-in. I’m going to be honest with you right now…whenever I start one of these posts with something like “I hope everyone is doing well” or whatever I kinda feel disingenuous. Like, is anyone REALLY “doing well” right now??? I know that more days than not my answer would be a resounding NO.

But I really do hope you are doing as well as you possibly can be, given the circumstances. Today is one of those days where I woke up actually feeling pretty good, so I’m going to lean into that and savor the feeling.

Anyways, here are our writing check-in questions for the…

January 20th Writing Check-in. It’s Wednesday, which means we’ve made it to the halfway point. How’s your week going so far?

Here’s your writing check-in questions for the day:

January 19th Writing Check-in. It’s time for another check-in! I hope everyone is doing well. As usual, here are our two writing questions for the day:

1. Did you meet…

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend. We finally took down the last of our Christmas decorations, I got some new craft supplies, and there was a lot…

Okay, we made it to Friday. I had my doubts there for a while but it seems that we’ve survived.

This will be my last check-in post of the week…

Happy…Thursday? Is that what day it is now?

I ended up skipping yesterday’s post because our power went out and by the time it came back on and I caught…

Another day, another writing accountability post! Here are the two questions for today:

1. Did you meet your writing goal for yesterday?

2. What is your writing goal for today?

My goal yesterday was to write poetry for at least 10 minutes (I like to use the Shaunta Grimes method of making very small daily goals so I am more likely to actually meet them). that he’d stop with the silences, the moods
the question he is always asking
in not so many words
why are you being like this, so difficult

but you said nothing
though you didn’t agree —
about Jesus, or the pointlessness
or even the science behind his statement
(It’s not their whole life that they spend, you know
