This really resonated with me. My parents were raised Jehovah’s Witnesses but stopped attending meetings when I was 4 or 5, but my mom’s parents stayed faithful until their death. This caused a lot of tension and issues in the family throughout the years, and it was always hard for me to accept how a religion that should have been about accepting others caused so much pain to so many people. Thank you for sharing your story! It seems like you’ve found peace and acceptance over you history with the Witnesses and how it affected your life. A lot of people don’t so I’m glad you did.
