This Old House
Find the center pain point
and press down
Call it a releasing of toxins
Call it the hurt of healing
Call it whatever makes it easier
And remember the truth of it:
they won’t raise you again
the right way this time
You don’t live in that house anymore
You don’t have to fix its leaky pipe
the broken banister, the creaky step
Sometimes it may feel like you are
still living between those four walls
with all the things that hurt you there
but you don’t live in that house anymore
So press down
and let it out.
