Hourglass

Journal entry from October 2014:
God, give me the strength
to live with the wounds
time does not heal
Here is what I have learned about time, now:
It will heal even the wounds you think you can’t survive
even when the hourglass seems it will never run out
even when you are choking on sand
Here is what I have learned about time, now:
The ocean smooths all stones beneath its waves
do not think your edges are made
of anything stronger than that
