February 4th, in which is feels disingenuous to do a writing check-in
I started to do a regular writing check-in today, but it just didn’t feel right. Sometimes, I just find it so hard to do the things that I do every day, you know? Like writing or working or even taking a shower. That’s when I know that my depression is acting up again, when I start to feel like things I have no problem doing most days are huge chores.
Instead of a writing check-in, I just want to say to anyone going through the same thing, anyone who feels like they can’t write or do things that they normally do because of depression or other mental health issues: I see you. I am here with you. And we are going to be okay.
